Job Description

Serves as Training Manager for the educational institute. Provides training, administrative and fiscal leadership through the implementation of innovative, quality programs and activities in accordance with institutional priorities and policies. Works closely with Heads of Programs, Student Services, Financial and Administration Services to promote continuous improvement in Student Services, and close collaboration between Training and Education and Student Service Functions. Ensure fiscal and administrative accountability. Promote proactive community engagement and ensure the programs, services and staff of institution to address the needs of the community.

  • Master's degree
  • PhD preferred.
  • Graduate Degree in Quality Assurance, Management, Aviation Studies or related discipline

EASA Part 66/147 B1/B2, or FAA License

  • 15 Year experience in Aviation Engineering and Maintenance under EASA Part 147/145 or GCAA CAR 147/145
  • Aircraft Line Maintenance Activities are essential.
  • 5 Year academic experience
  • Academic Leadership Experience in Higher Education

Knowledge of Military Aviation Training Concepts

  • Understanding of P&L Process to strategically plan and manage resources
  • Knowledge of Avionics and Aeromechanical (Airframe, Propulsion, avionics) Technologies and associated requirements for training
  • Knowledge of Computer Hardware and Software Applications

Proven Negotiation and Mediation Skills.

Comply with all current EASA and GCAA Rules and Regulations under the relevant Part/CAR titles.

Promote change as it relates to innovation and continuous improvement including enhancements to instructional methods and technologies, Professional Development and promotion and support of diversity

  • Provide and administer all training programs and services including college credit curriculum developmental, literacy, community services, and workforce development programs.
  • Evaluate instructors as well as supervise the evaluation of all full-time and part-time employees in the instructional units.
  • Coordinate academic scheduling consistent with UAE Local Authorities and ensure the provision of courses that are consistent with priorities of the college and the local market.
  • Actively promote collaboration with Head of Departments, Senior Managers, and other administrators to effectively serve students, employees and the community
  • Promote efficient and effective scheduling, budgeting, and facilities utilization.
  • Interview all full-time and part-time instructional staff for employment and make final recommendations to the Director.
  • Work with the Director in establishing the necessary organizational structure.
  • Serve on committees and councils as directed by the Director.
  • Serve as a member on the Academic Board and participate in its activities.
