Job Description
Role Purpose:
The role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization's TIDES infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security. The role encompasses overseeing enterprise systems, network administration, and technology solutions to support the organization's strategic and operational goals. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strategic vision to drive infrastructure excellence and operational efficiency.
Key Accountabilities:
1-Align with strategic objectives:
Align with the organization's strategic objectives to design, implement and maintain a reliable TIDES infrastructure solution to support organizational operations and future growth, ensuring continuous availability, reliability, performance and scalability.
2-Following the P&P:
Implementation and Ensuring adherence & compliance of TIDES policies & procedures.
3-Documentation:
Managing documentation for TIDES Network Infrastructure and Operation.
4-System monitoring:
Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, and support of all TIDES systems, including servers, networks, hardware, and software.
5-Performance optimization:
Regularly review system performance metrics to ensure the TIDES infrastructure is performing optimally.
Skills
- Server Administration: Proficient in managing Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy) and Linux environments.
- Backup Solutions: Expertise in Backup and Replication for data protection and disaster recovery.
- Virtualization: Strong experience with VMware, including vSphere and vCenter management.
- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with IaaS/PaaS offerings (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Productivity Tools: Deep knowledge of Office 365 administration (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams).
- Networking: Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting switches, routers, firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco), and VPNs.
- Security: Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and encryption.
- Scripting/Automation: Familiarity with PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automating tasks
