Manager - Legal | MAF Retail | Egypt Corporate Head Office
Role Summary
The Manager - Legal is responsible for providing the organization with support to facilitate effective legal services, advice, and representation for all legal issues either directly or with the support of external lawyers. The role holder is also responsible for supporting the Legal team in all legal matters and providing support on advice given to the business and regulatory functions on legal issues in a timely manner while ensuring consistency of approach and style.
ROLE PROFILE
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal standards.
- Provide strategic legal advice on business transactions, claims, and litigation to mitigate risks and support decision-making.
- Conduct legal research and monitor regulatory developments to ensure the organization remains compliant and informed.
- Prepare legal strategies and oversee case preparation, including evidence gathering and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure internal policies and procedures align with legal requirements and support business objectives.
- Generate legal reports, monitor process compliance, and escalate potential legal risks to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve legal issues impacting operations and commercial activities.
- Lead and mentor legal team members, support performance management, and contribute to legal talent development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 6 years of legal experience, including at least 2 years in the retail sector.
- Excellent business communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Proven negotiation skills and the ability to manage contracts and resolve legal disputes effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, with a focus on mentoring and developing legal talent.
