Title : Manager, Logistics Optimization
Location: NBS Cairo
Main Purpose of Job
Lead transportation planning and distribution network optimization across MENA countries (UAE, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, KSA, Kuwait, and Lebanon) by defining regional transportation strategy, governance, and performance standards. Drive service excellence, cost competitiveness, sustainability, and digital transformation through end-to-end transport planning, network design, carrier management, and advanced analytics. Partner with country Supply Chain teams, procurement, and transportation providers to deliver scalable and sustainable transportation solutions that support business growth and customer service objectives.

Sustainability:
- Develop and execute regional transportation sustainability strategy.
- Lead initiatives to reduce CO2 emissions, fuel consumption, and empty kilometers.
- Drive transportation network redesign initiatives to improve environmental performance.
- Ensure sustainability targets are embedded within carrier and transport planning decisions.
Service to Customer
- Define transportation planning standards and governance across MENA.
- Monitor regional service performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead root-cause analysis of major service failures and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with Customer Service and Supply Chain teams to improve customer experience.
- Drive transportation capacity planning to support future business growth.
- Analyzing distribution data to support business decisions
- Improve 'Service to Customer through ensuring On time delivery and with the right quality in operations
- Take actions to reduce damages and refusals by analyzing the root causes
Cost Management:
- Develop monhtly distribution supplier evaluation to support operational decisions in the countries
- Own regional transportation budget (VDE) and cost performance.
- Develop and deliver transportation productivity and savings roadmap.
- Lead network optimization and transportation model redesign projects.
- Identify opportunities for modal shifts, consolidation, and route redesign.
- Drive adoption and strategic enhancement of transportation planning technologies (LOCUS, SAP, TMS, Track & Trace).
- Support transportation sourcing strategies together with Procurement.
Supplier Management:
- Define and deploy transportation supplier performance management framework across MENA
- Lead periodic business reviews with transportation service providers and drive performance improvement plans.
- Support transportation tendering, sourcing, and contract management activities.
- Ensure real-time transportation visibility through track and trace technology solutions.
- Drive supplier capability development programs focused on service, cost, sustainability, and compliance.
- Establish governance processes and scorecards for transportation suppliers.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead, coach, and develop transportation planning capabilities across the region.
- Establish transportation governance forums and performance review routines.
- Ensure alignment between Supply Chain, Procurement, Customer Service, Sales, and Logistics stakeholders.
- Drive best practice sharing and standardization across all markets.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on safety, service, cost, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
Key Experiences:
What experiences are key to success in this job
- Academic Min. Qualifications: Bachelor Degree preferably in Supply Chain (Logistics, Procurement, Planning, MRP etc.) or Engineering
- 5+ years of supply chain experience, preferably in logistics
- Proven track record in managing multiple markets remotely
Interested and Experienced in:
- Transportation, Warehousing or SC experience
- Proficiency in supply chain management software (ex: SAP)
- High level of data analytics and reporting
- Enthusiast in Digitalization and Automation
- Comfortable in dealing with complex and ambiguous scenarios
- Collaborating with others to achieve goals
- Of high interest in distribution sustainability
