Job Description

Job Purpose

Lead the Authority's media and publishing functions by formulating communication and publishing strategies, managing press relations, producing high-quality content, and governing media engagements across all channels. Ensure consistent brand representation, alignment with strategic objectives, and strong relationships with local and international media outlets.

Key Responsibilities

• Govern overarching communication strategies, publishing frameworks, and campaign plans that align with RTA's institutional identity and strategic objectives.

• Develop comprehensive media plans covering RTA events, projects, and initiatives, ensuring proactive and coordinated engagement with local and international media outlets.

• Review and approve press releases, media messages, executive speeches, and public addresses, ensuring adherence to editorial standards.

• Oversee the production of RTA's official publications (e.g., Al-Masar and Salama magazines) and manage publication schedules with relevant departments.

• Supervise RTA publishing functions including press relations, internal/external publishing, media production, and campaign implementation.

• Edit and approve departmental content for web and social media, campaign material, corporate literature, and speeches to ensure message consistency.

• Coordinate interview requests, prepare official responses, and support corporate reputation management including during crises and disasters.

• Govern issuance of filming permits and ensure compliance with Authority procedures.

• Supervise media monitoring, analyze coverage, prepare insights, and respond to critical news impacting reputation.

• Manage archiving and documentation of media materials (press releases, photos, videos, interviews).

• Implement media analytics and reporting to measure campaign performance, sentiment, and audience reach, embedding digital storytelling, creative technology, and AI-driven identity management where relevant.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree / Master's degree (Preferred: Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Public Relations)

• 12+ years (Master's) / 14+ years (Bachelor's) in related area

• Certifications such as Media Relations, Digital Marketing, PMP (preferred)
