JOB TITLE

Manager - Programming & Distribution | MAF Entertainment | Film Programming

Role Summary

The Film Programming Manager is responsible for planning, scheduling, and optimizing film content across the cinema circuit to maximize admissions, revenue, occupancy, and customer satisfaction. The role ensures the right films are placed on the right screens at the right times, balancing commercial performance, strategic priorities, and customer demand.

ROLE PROFILE

  • Plan and manage weekly film schedules across all cinema locations and screen formats.
  • Allocate screens, showtimes, and premium formats based on audience demand, performance, and revenue opportunities.
  • Continuously optimize schedules through dynamic adjustments to maximize admissions, occupancy, and box office results.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics including admissions, occupancy, ATP, SPH, market share, and title performance.
  • Balance content portfolios across Hollywood, Bollywood, Arabic, family, regional, and alternative films while supporting peak seasons and holidays.
  • Conduct market research on upcoming releases and benchmark performance locally, regionally, and globally.
  • Collaborate closely with Distribution, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and external distributors to align release strategies and campaigns.
  • Ensure operational accuracy in scheduling systems (VISTA), showtimes, pricing rules, and compliance while driving process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Media, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in cinema programming, film distribution, or exhibition, with proven experience managing large cinema circuits or multi-site operations.
  • Strong film knowledge and programming expertise, with experience working with film distributors and studios considered a strong advantage.
  • Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to build productive and cohesive teams while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong time management skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and fluency in Arabic preferred.
