Role : Manager- Specialized Collateral Management
Location :DubaiRole Purpose:
The position is responsible for providing value added services accurately, efficiently and within established turnaround time.Ensure that necessary information through MIS is provided to Central Bank, internal/external auditors & other internal stakeholders.
- Accountable for implementing approved controls in various systems.
- Set up and maintain reliable information system/s covering all segments, automate processes and enhance the capability of current systems to provide and produce accurate and timely information.
- Identify / recommend system solutions to the management to improve controls and satisfy business requirements.
- Take a leading role in enterprise-wide related projects enterprise document management system and Bank wide exposure.
- Liaison with IT Department for effective follow up and completion of projects.
- Ensure that the Credit Control Department function is supported by documented procedures (SOPs), skilled staff and right technology support.
Key Accountabilities of the role
- Ensure adequate and effective collateral management and monitoring of but not limited to finance against shares and realizable collaterals.
- Monitor Lombard financing transactions on a daily basis vide control reports.
- Liaise with Investment Banking Team to communicate to brokers to establish respective sub accounts.
- Calculate drawing power and communicates to Brokerage firm and confirm acceptance of the shares.
- Communicate the final drawing power of the client to broker based on share value.
- Validate the broker sheet against each client holding prior to uploading in the monitoring sheet for calculating the ETV.
- Highlight exceptions i.e. margin call, liquidation trigger and ensure that cure measures are taken into effect.
- Create and circulate daily/monthly monitoring reports to Business, Broker and Credit.
- Manage Central Bank related reports namely CBRB amongst others.
- Maintain data base and provide timely and accurate MIS required by Central Bank, External/internal auditors, Business Units and senior management.
- Ensures proper system maintenance of the portfolio and regular update of collateral.
- Reduce redundancies in processes and manual intervention to improve turnaround time and provide quality services to internal and external stakeholders.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
- A thorough understanding of Commercial products/Islamic Banking.
- A proactive approach to problem solving.
- Good understanding of technological issues with sound analytical ability and PC skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & API.
- Effective communication skills in English and preferably knowledge in Arabic.
