The Strategic & New Business Initiatives Manager will drive the organization's growth agenda by leading high-impact projects focused on strategic expansion, new business models, and innovative ventures. This role works cross-functionally to identify opportunities, assess business potential, and implement initiatives that enhance revenue and competitive advantage.
The position requires a strong combination of strategic thinking, financial acumen, and operational execution to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Key Accountabilities
1. Strategic Initiatives
- Lead the identification and development of key strategic initiatives that create new growth opportunities.
- Define concepts and optimal growth strategies for initiatives and ensure smooth handover to the relevant business units.
2. Cross-Segment Propositions
- Drive commercial initiatives across business segments, from assessment and solution design to execution.
- Align cross-segment strategies with stakeholders and manage performance to ensure growth objectives are met.
3. Customer Segmentation & Opportunity Planning
- Identify emerging customer segments and market opportunities.
- Develop customer segmentation and opportunity blueprints to support commercial growth.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to size opportunities, forecast growth, and design actionable growth strategies.
4. Strategic Planning Support
- Contribute insights, frameworks, and recommendations to support long-term commercial and business strategy planning cycles.
5. New Business Development & Strategic Partnerships
- Develop and align strategies for new business opportunities, including building frameworks to create competitive advantages.
- Manage end-to-end execution of new ventures, from identification to acquisition or partnership, ensuring maximum value realization.
- Oversee strategic partnerships on behalf of the commercial organization.
6. Leadership Reporting & Communication
- Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and analyses for leadership review and investment decision-making.
Experience & Skills:
- 7+ years in strategy, commercial, or business development roles.
- Proven track record in leading strategy projects from design through execution.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and innovation skills.
- Experience managing complex business planning processes.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
