Job Purpose
The Wet Utilities Section Manager will provide technical expertise over all wastewater (Sewege Network), Treated Sewage Effluent, drainage (Storm Water) Network, Hydrology, and Irrigation Networks from all engineering and design aspects of the department. Coordinate and manage the section to meet all planning, budgeting, and operational goals of the department with respect to Wet Utilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical oversight of sewerage, stormwater, TSE, and irrigation networks
- Manage and mentor engineers and draftsmen within the section
- Review and approve engineering designs and deliverables
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and authority standards
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, regulatory bodies, and internal departments
- Implement QA/QC processes and risk mitigation strategies
- Support budgeting and long-term infrastructure planning initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or equivalent).
- 15+ years of wet utilities design experience in the Middle East, with proven delivery of large-scale infrastructure or municipal projects in the UAE/GCC region.
- Strong understanding of local authority regulations and standards related to stormwater network design.
- Excellent communication, technical reporting, and problem-solving skills.
