Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Managing Director to lead the overall operations and strategic direction of Kasumigaseki restaurant in Dubai. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role responsible for driving business performance, maintaining brand excellence, and delivering an exceptional guest experience while aligning with headquarters vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full restaurant operations, including service, kitchen coordination, and quality control
- Drive financial performance through revenue growth, cost management, and achievement of KPIs
- Lead and develop teams, including recruitment, training, and performance management
- Enhance customer satisfaction and manage relationships with VIP guests
- Develop and execute brand strategies, marketing initiatives, and business growth plans
- Build and manage relationships with local suppliers, including negotiation and procurement
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards, driving continuous improvement
- Act as the key liaison with headquarters, ensuring alignment and timely reporting
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in the food and beverage industry
- Strong business-level proficiency in English
- Proven experience in financial and operational management, including P&L ownership and KPI management
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
Key Competencies
- Experience in fine dining or high-end restaurant environments
- Strong understanding of Japanese cuisine and hospitality culture
- International experience or proven ability to manage multicultural teams
- Experience in new business launches, concept development, or brand building
