Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Managing Director to lead the overall operations and strategic direction of Kasumigaseki restaurant in Dubai. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role responsible for driving business performance, maintaining brand excellence, and delivering an exceptional guest experience while aligning with headquarters vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full restaurant operations, including service, kitchen coordination, and quality control
  • Drive financial performance through revenue growth, cost management, and achievement of KPIs
  • Lead and develop teams, including recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and manage relationships with VIP guests
  • Develop and execute brand strategies, marketing initiatives, and business growth plans
  • Build and manage relationships with local suppliers, including negotiation and procurement
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards, driving continuous improvement
  • Act as the key liaison with headquarters, ensuring alignment and timely reporting

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in the food and beverage industry
  • Strong business-level proficiency in English
  • Proven experience in financial and operational management, including P&L ownership and KPI management
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities

Key Competencies

  • Experience in fine dining or high-end restaurant environments
  • Strong understanding of Japanese cuisine and hospitality culture
  • International experience or proven ability to manage multicultural teams
  • Experience in new business launches, concept development, or brand building
  • Strategic thinker with a strong business perspective and ability to make independent decisions
  • Committed to both preserving brand identity and driving continuous evolution
  • Proactive and resilient, with the ability to operate effectively in dynamic and uncertain environments
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, align, and develop diverse teams
  • Ability to balance exceptional hospitality standards with strong commercial and operational acumen
