About this role

Managing Director : Logistics

We are seeking a visionary and strategic Managing Director to lead and manage the operations of the Logistics Sector, driving financial targets, business objectives, and significant contributions to our client's ambitious expansion plans.

Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Direction:

  • Actively contribute to the development and communication of the company's vision and overarching supply chain strategy across diverse business units.
  • Formulate and execute long-term objectives, plans, and targets for the Logistics Sector, aligning them with the company's strategy and the specific needs of each entity.
  • Analyze existing business lines/products within our logistics operations and identify opportunities for growth and new ventures.
  • Review and refine annual business plans for all sector divisions, ensuring alignment with past achievements and market potential.
  • Disseminate the company's strategic plan to division leaders within the Logistics Sector across all relevant business areas.
  • Recommend and oversee expansion initiatives for existing businesses under the Logistics Sector, ensuring timely and budget-conscious implementation.

Leadership:

  • Provide dynamic leadership to foster profitable and sustainable product and service offerings within the logistics division.
  • Co-create and champion the vision, mission, strategies, and organizational culture of the company.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to drive growth and profitability across the entire organization.

Business Growth & Development:

  • Assess the feasibility of new projects and business models across various business units.
  • Monitor the performance of sector divisions within each entity, guiding them in achieving their goals efficiently.
  • Develop tailored strategies for the Logistics Sector within different business segments to promote synergy across the group.
  • Ensure inventory levels are well-managed across the entire group.

Budgeting & Cost Control:

  • Develop and present the annual business plan to the Board of Directors.
  • Efficiently manage working capital and assets within the logistics division.
  • Implement cost-saving and control measures across the group to drive efficiency and sustainability, tailoring these measures to the specific needs of each entity.

Requirements

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, with a significant portion in a leadership role.
