About the Role
We are seekingaManufacturingEngineerto oversee theproject management of precision machined mechanicalspareparts. This role is central to ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery of critical components that support our advanced engineering projects.
The ideal candidate has astrong background in CNC machiningand/orCastingprocesses, understandstolerancesand engineeringdrawings,developa manufacturingdrawings andplanandhas successfully managed suppliers formachined parts from RFQ through to Quality Control.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end execution of precision-machined parts projects, from RFQ review through delivery.
- Develop manufacturing drawings and detailed manufacturing plans, including machining routes, tooling approach, and inspection requirements.
- Evaluate supplier quotations, lead commercial negotiations, and manage supplier performance and relationships.
- Review and interpret 2D engineering drawings and GD&T to ensure technical and dimensional compliance.
- Collaborate with suppliers on CNC machining strategies (milling, turning, tooling, fixturing) to ensure manufacturability, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Oversee quality control and inspection activities to ensure adherence to specifications and applicable standards.
- Coordinate with internal design, procurement, and quality teams to meet project timelines and delivery commitments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's orMaster's in Mechanical Engineering(or related field).
- 510 years experiencein managingCNC machining / precision mechanical parts procurement projects.
- Working knowledge of rotating and static equipment in the oil & gas industry, including pumps, compressors, turbines, valves, and associated mechanical components, with understanding of typical machining, materials, tolerances, and inspection requirements.
- Proventrack recordinsupplier/vendor management, RFQs,purchasing, and project delivery.
- Strong knowledge ofCNC machining processes, tolerances, GD&T, and material specifications.
- Experience inquality control and inspection ofmachinedcomponents.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Supplier management formachined componentsin industries such asenergy, aerospace, automotive, or industrial equipment.
- Familiarity withsupply chain optimization and vendor qualification.
- Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) are an advantage.
