Generic Responsibilities
- Coordinate between team members in fulfillment of Margin Finance set plan.
- Assist the Head in ensuring the dissemination of policy & procedures and efficient & effective performance of responsibilities.
- Supervise/ monitor a small group of employees with lower or same seniority.
- Ensure that officers & junior officers/ apprentice receive periodic training.
- Participate in evaluating team members and provide feedback through performance evaluation.
- Quarter sample review for RCSA compliance & report for incidents properly.
- Participate in providing periodical analytical reports and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Structure and manage changes to the Margin Finance Credit Program (CP) as needed, ensuring alignment with market dynamics and internal policies.
- Design and regularly update the customer profiling sheet to evaluate eligibility and determine appropriate margin limits.
- Reprice the margin finance product and manage its overall P&L performance.
- Supervise that all required signatures for margin contracts and related documentation between clients, brokerage firms, and ADIB are done.
- Create and monitor ADIB's internal matrix guidelines for stock selection, including liquidity risk and margin ratios.
- Monitor market behavior by sector and stock to proactively assess portfolio risk and recommend necessary actions.
- Evaluate and shortlist brokerage firms based on predefined business criteria, ensuring alignment with operational needs and risk parameters.
- Communicate with Relationship Managers to conduct customer profiling and valuation.
- Maintain effective communication with all relevant parties, including clients, brokerage firms, ADIB channels, and FRA Financial Regulatory Authority.
- Communicate approved margin limits to brokerage firms and individual clients, ensuring timely and accurate notification in accordance with internal protocols.
- Direct the team to inform clients and brokers of available margin limits via daily email communications.
- Ensure the margin finance portfolio complies with FRA regulations and internal matrix frameworks.
- Review reports indicating clients reaching 60% and 70% debt thresholds for corrective actions.
- Communicate with the team to initiate the margin calls or force-selling instructions based on lists of clients reaching 60% and 70% debt ratios of their total portfolios.
- Follow up on rectification actions through margin system screens and maintain accurate records of interventions.
- Create and manage valuation reports covering portfolio performance and quality, remaining limits, and acquisition.
- Oversee related User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and review the results to ensure correct implementation.
- Ensure the proper handling and resolution of complaints in cooperation with Consumer Rights Protection – Compliance & Governance, adhering to established policies, procedures and SLAs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor degree
- Master degree is preferable
Minimum Experience:
- +8 years of relevant experience preferably banking
- +3 years of experience in similar role
