This role offers practical, hands-on training in dry bulk vessel operations, where you will play a vital role in supporting a high-performing team. Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the day-to-day execution of vessel operations,focusing on voyage optimization and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate with captains, port agents, charterers, owners, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and follow up on voyage-related costs and documentation
- Support the chartering team with operational insight to enhance future planning.
- Participate in operational projects and port/vessel/customer visits.
- Assist in resolving challenges with our legal and P&I teams.
- Contribute to ensuring cost-effective and high-quality voyage execution.
- Learn and apply best practices in maritime operations and stakeholder management.
Requirements
Graduated of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport Logistics Department.
Preferably a Business Administration graduate from one of the following universities: AUC, BUE, or GUC.
- A strong interest in shipping, logistics, or maritime operations
- A relevant educational background (maritime studies, logistics, engineering, business, etc.)
- Internship or sailing experience is a plus, but not required
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Proactive mindset, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn
- Strong sense of responsibility, urgency, and attention to detail
- Team player who also takes ownership and works independently
- Strong IT skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems
