Job Purpose
To develop, manage and execute marketing strategy, plan, policies, procedures, and frameworks and ensure optimal delivery across its related functions; events, marketing, branding and web
Key Result Areas:
- Develop, manage, and deliver HBKU marketing strategy in line with the HBKU communications strategy and the overall University's strategy
- Manage and oversee the HBKU marketing functions including corporate marketing, enrolment marketing, business marketing, branding, events, and web development
- Develop department's related guidelines, procedures, and frameworks
- Develop marketing annual business plan and budget and monitor and approve expenditures
- Provide marketing support for all HBKU entities including campaign design and development, guidance on events and conferences
- Develop and maintain HBKU branding strategy, brand identity and corporate messaging
- Provide guidance to articulate the key objectives, key messages and expected outcomes for marketing, events, and web projects
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute all marketing projects/initiatives in line with the communication strategy of HBKU, and ensuring compliance with agreed timelines and budget
- Develop, plan, and implement advertising campaigns to publicize and promote the university strategic activities and events, and establish methods for increasing participation
- Oversee the final approval on content for all marketing related projects and ensure that all publications are executed appropriately in line with HBKU messaging
- Develop and maintain HBKU's e-channels (university website, e-marketing platform, etc.)
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, or Communications major or related field & 8-10 years of relevant full-time work experience in marketing or a related field at similar higher education institutes, 3 of which at a supervisory level
- Good understanding of marketing communication, branding, advertising strategies, plans and frameworks
- Good conceptual & strategic thinking with ability to articulate and share vision and mission by inspiring others
- Experienced in dealing with creative agencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to logically and persuasively outline and present thoughts, ideas, and specifications through oral and written communications
- Fluent in Arabic and English; Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
