In the highly competitive Retail and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industries, success depends on understanding consumer behavior, responding quickly to market trends, and delivering strong brand visibility at the point of sale. A Marketing Manager in this sector plays a crucial role in driving product demand, strengthening brand positioning, and supporting sales growth across retail channels. By combining strategic marketing planning with deep insights into shopper behavior, the Marketing Manager ensures that products reach the right customers at the right time through impactful campaigns, effective promotions, and strong retail partnerships.

Lychee is the leading player in the rapidly growing healthy food industry in Egypt, with a unique and highly scalable position in the market that combines a healthy fast- food retail arm and a manufacturing arm for healthy packaged foods. Most notably fresh juices and Greek yogurt.

As part of our greater mission to make healthier food choices accessible and sustainable for people's everyday lifestyle - we're extending our commitment to the region with our entry into the Saudi Arabian market, with a substantial retail expansion plan and on-ground operations starting Q2, 2025 in Riyadh.

Lychee relies on both its manufacturing capabilities and brand recognition built over a decade to expand its retail operations seamlessly based on customer demand and to scale its existing presence in modern trade, traditional trade and quick commerce.

What will you be doing

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Brand Managers, Content Creators, and Marketing Specialists, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.
  • Oversee the strategy and performance of multiple brands, ensuring consistent positioning, messaging, and market differentiation.
  • Drive retail marketing initiatives including in-store promotions, merchandising, and retail activations to maximize product visibility.
  • Supervise the planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, retail, and traditional channels.
  • Guide the development of marketing content and creative assets to ensure brand consistency and strong consumer engagement.
  • Lead go-to-market strategies for new product launches, coordinating closely with sales, product, and supply chain teams.
  • Utilize market research, consumer insights, and performance data to refine marketing strategies and identify growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with sales, commercial, product development, and operations teams to align marketing initiatives with business priorities.
  • Track marketing KPIs, campaign effectiveness, and sales performance, ensuring continuous optimization and ROI improvement.
  • Manage the overall marketing budget, ensuring efficient investment across campaigns, digital marketing, content creation, and retail activities.
  • Own and manage the P&L for each product, coordinating closely on COGS, pricing, and all commercial and marketing expenses to ensure product profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Coordinate with external creative agencies, media partners, and marketing vendors to deliver high-quality marketing initiatives.

What are we looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 12 years of marketing experience, preferably within Retail, FMCG or Consumer Goods
  • Proven ability to lead and manage cross functional marketing teams
  • Strong experience in brand strategy, brand positioning, and portfolio management
  • Deep understanding of retail environments, merchandising, and shopper marketing
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, social media strategy, and content marketing
  • Ability to interpret market data, sales trends, and marketing performance metrics
  • Ability to drive innovative campaigns that enhance brand engagement and consumer loyalty
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
