Job Description

The Lead Marketing Operations is responsible for optimizing the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of the marketing function by bridging strategy and execution. In addition to managing marketing systems, data, processes, and performance analytics. This role also provides executional support for brand campaigns, corporate communications, and product launches under the guidance of the Senior Manager. The position ensures seamless alignment of operational activities with the overall marketing and communication strategy of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Operational:

Marketing Technology & Automation

1. Own and manage the marketing tech stack (e.g., CRM, marketing automation platforms, analytics tools), ensure systems are configured, maintained, and continuously optimized for performance.

2. Evaluate and implement new tools to improve marketing performance and ROI, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.

3. Ensure seamless integration between marketing platforms and other business systems (Sales, Fiinance, IT) to enable unified reporting and a 360 customer view.

Campaign Operations & Execution

4. Develop and maintain campaign workflows, calendars, and project management processes to ensure consistent delivery of marketing initiatives.

5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, strategy, product, HR) to align campaign content, timing, and messaging with business priorities.

6. Monitor campaign performance and troubleshooting operational issues and recommend adjustments to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

7. Document and share learnings from campaigns to drive continuous improvement and institutional knowledge.

Data Management & Analytics

8. Maintain data hygiene and governance across marketing databases, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational policies and external regulations.

9. Build dashboards and reports to track KPIs, lead funnel metrics, and campaign effectiveness.

10. Analyze performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, providing actionable insights and recommendations to refine marketing strategies.

11. Partner with senior stakeholders to embed data-driven decision-making into campaign planning and performance reviews.

Budgeting & Vendor Management

12. Support budget planning, tracking, and reporting for marketing initiatives, ensuring financial accountability and alignment with strategic priorities.

13. Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and technology providers, acting as the primary point of contact for deliverables, timelines, and quality standards.

14. Ensure compliance with procurement and finance processes.

15. Evaluate vendor performance regularly, identifying opportunities for optimization, cost savings, and enhanced service delivery.

Process Optimization & Enablement

16. Identify and implement process improvements to increase team productivity and enhance overall marketing scalability.

17. Develop documentation, training materials, and best practices for marketing operations

18. Act as a central point of coordination for marketing workflows and governance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred). 5 years of minimum experience in marketing operations, campaign management, or marketing analytics.

Job Specific Skills:

Expertise in CRM and Marketing Automation (Salesforce, Dynamics, HubSpot, Marketo, etc.) with ability to manage and integrate marketing tech stack

Strong in Analytics & Data Management (Google Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel) to build dashboards, track KPIs, and ensure data integrity.

Skilled in Campaign Management across planning, execution, tracking, and reporting for measurable outcomes.

Proficiency in Digital Marketing Tools (Mailchimp, CMS platforms, basic HTML/CSS) and tracking methods (Google Tag Manager, UTM, APIs).

Experienced in Project & Process Management (Asana, Trello, Jira) with focus on efficiency and scalability.

Adept at Budgeting & Vendor Management, ensuring alignment with procurement and finance policies.

Knowledgeable in Compliance & Governance (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, data security).

Strong collaborator across sales, IT, finance, and business units.
