Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Master Cutter with couture expertise to work on made-to-measure gowns and luxury evening dresses. The ideal candidate will have exceptional pattern-cutting skills and a strong understanding of couture construction and client fittings.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, drape, and modify patterns for couture gowns and evening dresses
- Perform precise fabric cutting using luxury materials such as silk, lace, tulle, and organza
- Lead and manage client fittings, ensuring perfect fit and proportion
- Execute couture techniques including internal structuring and hand-finishing
- Collaborate closely with designers and atelier teams to meet production timelines
- Troubleshoot fit and construction issues with high attention to detail
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a couture or luxury fashion atelier
- Master-level skills in pattern cutting and garment construction
- Strong understanding of body proportions, fitting, and fine finishing
- Ability to work with bespoke clients and manage tight deadlines
