Key Responsibilities
Advanced Diagnostics
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle faults.
- Use advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify issues.
- Analyze diagnostic trouble codes and system data.
Repair & Technical Support
- Perform advanced repairs on engine, transmission, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and mechanics.
- Ensure repairs follow OEM manufacturer procedures.
Quality Control
- Inspect completed work to ensure service quality and compliance with manufacturer standards.
- Conduct test drives and performance checks after repairs.
Workshop Support
- Assist service advisors with technical explanations and repair recommendations.
- Maintain proper documentation of diagnostic findings and repairs.
Training & Development
- Train and mentor workshop technicians on new technologies and repair techniques.
- Support continuous improvement of workshop processes.
Requirements
Education
- Diploma or certification in Automotive Technology / Mechanical Engineering
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in engine management systems and vehicle electronics
- Experience with advanced diagnostic tools and OEM software
- Ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams
Preferred
- Experience working with authorized dealerships or OEM brands
- Manufacturer certification or specialized automotive training
