Responsible for preparing, organizing, and following up on all Material Technical Submittals (MTS) related to wood, joinery, and finishing materials, in line with project specifications and consultant/client requirements. Ensures timely submission, tracking, approval, and compliance of all materials used in factory production and site installation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to identify wood, joinery, hardware, finishes, and accessories material requirements.
- Prepare and compile Material Technical Submittals for consultant/client approval.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal factory teams to collect technical data sheets, certificates, samples, and mockups.
- Maintain and update the Material Submittal Log (MSL) and material tracking records.
- Follow up on submitted materials and manage responses to consultant/client comments and revisions.
- Ensure all submittals comply with project standards (fire rating, sustainability, LEED if applicable, veneer/finish specifications, etc.).
- Coordinate with procurement to confirm approved materials prior to ordering.
- Liaise with factory production and site teams to ensure materials used match approved submittals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 34 years of experience in material submittals within wood factories, joinery, or interior fit-out projects.
- Strong understanding of wood materials, finishes, hardware, and joinery systems.
- Familiar with consultant approval processes and project documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PDF editing tools.
