Role Purpose:
The Maximo Technical Consultant is responsible for the management, optimization, and continuous improvement of the organization's Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system (IBM Maximo) and other enterprise applications.
This role ensures these platforms are effectively implemented, integrated, and utilized to support facilities management, asset lifecycle management, financial control, and operational efficiency. The Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology with business objectives, enhance user adoption, and deliver digital transformation in facilities and enterprise operations.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Platform Management
- Oversee the daily operations and performance of IBM Maximo and related enterprise applications.
- Lead system implementation, customization, upgrades, and integrations to align with business needs.
- Ensure CAFM and other enterprise applications are configured optimally for asset management, preventive maintenance, work order management, and reporting.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with IT and external vendors for support and enhancements.
Operational Excellence & User Experience
- Streamline facilities management processes through workflows, automation, and mobile access within Maximo.
- Enhance usability and adoption of applications by aligning technology with business workflows.
- Ensure seamless integration between CAFM and other enterprise systems (ERP, finance, HR, CRM, etc.) to enable data consistency and operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation to improve service delivery and reduce manual effort.
Data Management and Reporting
- Maintain high standards of data integrity, compliance, and security within Maximo and other applications.
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reports for asset performance, maintenance efficiency, cost management, and compliance tracking.
- Provide actionable insights based on data analysis to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Training and Support
- Develop and deliver training programs for CAFM and enterprise application users.
- Provide ongoing functional and technical support to end users and key stakeholders.
- Create and maintain user guides, process flows, knowledge bases, and documentation.
Project Management
- Lead CAFM and enterprise application projects, including upgrades, new module deployments, and integrations.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, following best practices.
- Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, and contracts to ensure quality delivery.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with Facilities Management, Finance, IT, and other business units to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Act as the primary liaison between facilities teams and IT for CAFM and enterprise application initiatives.
- Ensure technology adoption supports strategic business objectives, sustainability goals, and operational excellence.
Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 57 years of experience in CAFM system management, with hands-on expertise in IBM Maximo.
- Experience managing enterprise applications (ERP, HR, CRM, or similar platforms) and their integrations.
- Proven track record of implementing and optimizing Maximo modules for asset management, work order management, and preventive maintenance.
- Strong understanding of facilities management processes and asset lifecycle management.
- Expertise in digital automation strategies.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and enterprise integration methods.
- Advanced system administration and troubleshooting of Maximo.
