Job Description:
As an Mechanical Engineer at WestCon, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the installation and maintenance of Mechanical systems for construction projects. You will work closely with architects, project managers, and other engineers to ensure that Mechanical systems meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review designs of Mechanical systems for construction projects, including power distribution, lighting, and safety systems.
- Review and analyze Mechanical drawings, specifications, and schematics to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase to resolve Mechanical issues.
- Ensure Mechanical systems meet local, state, and national codes and standards.
- Perform Mechanical load calculations and equipment sizing.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor Mechanical installation progress and quality.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of Mechanical systems into overall project design.
- Prepare reports, documentation, and submittals related to Mechanical systems.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of Mechanical work.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- minimum 6 years of experience in Mechanical engineering, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
- In-depth knowledge of Mechanical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot Mechanical issues on-site.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and contractors.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
