Perform external and Internal inspections on various types of equipment such as columns, drums, vessels, heat exchangers, piping and pipe components, and also issue repair procedure & recommendations.
The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.
Major Responsibilities
To ensure safety, standards and procedures are implemented and followed in accordance with contract requirements and company guidelines.
Carry out Shop Inspection and Audits of all Equipment and Materials and complete Inspection Reports
Examining finished products to determine if they meet specifications or will need to be repaired or replaced
Inspecting work sites to ensure that work is being performed according to plans and specifications.
To develop inspection plans and programs in accordance with regulatory requirements
Providing technical support to others in the field by answering questions about codes and standards
Preparing written reports detailing findings and recommendations for corrective action
Performing tests to determine physical properties of materials such as strength, density, and thermal conductivity
Preparing inspection reports detailing findings and recommendations for corrective action
To review and approve inspection reports for accuracy and compliance
To investigate incidents and accidents, as needed, to determine root cause and corrective actions
To liaise with clients, as needed, to discuss inspection-related matters
Qualification And Experience
Engineering Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgical
Minimum 5 years of experience.

QM 30 Pressure Vessels
QM 31 Heat Exchangers
QM 34 Tanks
QM 35Skid Mounted Equipment - Mechanical
Skills & Qualities
Thorough understanding of defect assessment techniques in accordance with relevant codes/standards.
Thorough knowledge of static equipment and pipework design and inspection codes of practice.
Knowledge of related standards / regulatory requirements.
Plant/vendor inspection and associated expertise.
Communication skills. Good command of the English language.
Thorough understanding of NDT techniques and in-service application of NDT.
