Overview:

Our Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible:

To provide technical supervision, execution and control in the area of mechanical maintenance activity at our Ready-mix plants to ensure the provision of safety cost effective, proactive maintenance and engineering services.

Responsibilities:

Health & Safety:

  • Ensure full compliance with Lafarge safety standards, promote safety culture and safe practices among the entire work-force.
  • Ensure all Batch Plant employees are operating in a safe working environment.
  • Provide monthly reporting and statistics regarding safety performance and incidents.
  • Ensure that all employees and contractors are following the Health & Safety regulations.
  • Conduct VPC and direct other key members in the company to do the same.
  • Submit the safety figures on monthly basis to the company and discuss areas of improvement.
  • Participate in investigations in major safety incidents.
  • Assume key responsibility for developing H&S improvement plan and relevant action plans.
  • Attend all Ready-mix plant safety meetings.
  • Achieve Annual Health and safety personal objectives.

Functional:

  • Follow up with the mechanical maintenance team for maintaining all Ready-mix plant equipment in order to ensure continuous operations,
  • Lead a preventive maintenance process, plan for it daily, weekly and monthly, as well as plan for large malfunctions recovery without affecting the production schedule.
  • Maintains and updates the preventive maintenance program and its master plan (inspection, preventive maintenance and lubrication programs) ensuring quality and relevance as well as implementation.
  • Follow up on the maintenance activities and be able to deal with the sudden malfunction to minimize the MTTR (Mean Time To Repair).
  • Deal with all malfunctions in a professional way to maximize the MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure).
  • Follow up with all Ready-mix plants installations and make sure that the installations comply with Lafarge-Holcim Safety Standards.
  • Follow up on the warehouse spare parts and make a plan to purchase the required SP, and do the work order for the used spare parts using SAP.

Education and Work Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor degree of Mechanical Engineering.

Technical Skills:

  • Ready-mix industry background is highly preferred.
  • Excellent Knowledge of mechanical installation standards.
  • Excellent Knowledge of preventive maintenance.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highest Level of analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience:

  • 2-3 years as a mechanical maintenance engineer in cement/concrete industry.
