The Role

We are currently looking for aMechanical Maintenance Managerto lead workshop and field based maintenance projects, delivering high quality servicing and overhaul of critical drilling equipment. This role is suited to a hands on mechanical professional with proven experience managing service of drilling equipment including top drives, pipe handling equipment, drawworks and mud pumps.

This is aUAE, office based role and relevant experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage drilling equipment service projects
• Manage workshop and field based teams
• Prepare project work packs including work instructions
• Manage equipment disassembly and inspection
• Deliver high quality inspection reports and documentation
• Review inspection outputs and make recommendations
• Instruct and supervise third party repair vendors
• Manage equipment reassembly and testing
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot equipment faults
• Understand and meet customer requirements
• Mentor and develop team members
• Manage workshop, equipment and tooling
• Manage compliance with quality management processes
• Manage compliance with health, safety and environmental policies

Requirements

Education & training:

• Mechanical maintenance degree or practical qualification
• Drilling equipment maintenance training

Technical requirements:

• Deep drilling equipment maintenance technical knowledge
• Ability to read, interpret and instruct others with engineering drawings
• Strong planning, management and problem solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident user or IT and web based applications

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role
• Experience deliveringworkshop and field based projects, servicing drilling equipment including top drives, pipe handling equipment, drawworks and mud pumps is essential
