We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager with strong experience in landscape, irrigation, water features, and outdoor mechanical systems to lead and deliver large-scale landscape projects. The ideal candidate will oversee mechanical aspects including irrigation networks, pump stations, water features, drainage systems, and related infrastructure, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning, scheduling, and execution of mechanical works for landscape projects, including irrigation systems, pump rooms, water features, and utility networks.
- Manage day-to-day site operations related to mechanical installations, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Review and approve mechanical shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, equipment selections, and material submittals.
- Oversee installation of irrigation networks, HDPE/PVC pipelines, pumps, filtration systems, valves, controllers, and water features.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and progress reports for mechanical scope.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and landscape teams to ensure proper integration of mechanical systems.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to mechanical procurement, installation, and commissioning.
- Manage procurement of mechanical equipment including pumps, irrigation controllers, valves, piping, and fittings.
- Supervise testing & commissioning of irrigation systems, pump stations, and water features.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders regarding mechanical deliverables and approvals.
- Ensure preparation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, commissioning reports, and project closeout documentation.
- Lead and mentor mechanical engineers, supervisors, and site teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical works for landscape, irrigation, and outdoor infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience in irrigation systems, pump stations, water features, and landscape utilities.
- Knowledge of HDPE/PVC piping systems, hydraulic calculations, and irrigation design principles.
- Experience managing large-scale landscape developments, parks, public realm, or mega projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 / MS Project and standard engineering software.
- Strong understanding of testing & commissioning procedures for irrigation and pumping systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and fast-track project timelines.
- Familiarity with local standards and specifications for landscape and irrigation projects.
- PMP certification is an advantage.
