Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor with strong expertise in Skid Packaging, Pipe Fabrication, and Steel Structure Fabrication works to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead fabrication and mechanical teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with engineering and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise mechanical teams involved in skid assembly, pipe fabrication, steel structure fabrication, and installation works.
- Interpret and execute fabrication drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and general assembly drawings.
- Ensure all fabrication and assembly activities comply with engineering specifications and project requirements.
- Plan daily and weekly activities and allocate manpower, tools, and equipment efficiently.
- Coordinate with Engineering, QC, Procurement, and Project teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Monitor material availability (pipes, fittings, structural steel, spools, valves) and follow up on shortages.
- Verify fit-up, welding, alignment, and mechanical assembly works before QC inspection.
- Ensure compliance with approved WPS, ITP, ASME codes, and QA/QC standards.
- Support non-conformance resolution and implement corrective actions.
- Enforce HSE regulations and promote safe working practices in workshop and site areas.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure risk assessments are followed.
- Track fabrication progress, welding status, spool completion, and skid assembly stages.
- Prepare daily progress reports and update management on critical issues.
- Supervise fitters, fabricators, welders, technicians, and rigging teams.
- Train team members on technical procedures, safety, and quality standards.
- Resolve technical and workforce issues to avoid project delays.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in skid packaging, pipe fabrication, steel fabrication, or mechanical construction.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication drawings, welding processes, and assembly procedures.
- Familiarity with ASME codes, material specifications, WPS, ITP, and QA/QC requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
