Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Test Laboratory Technician to join a leading advanced composite aerostructures manufacturing company in the UAE. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with experience in mechanical testing and laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare test samples following approved work instructions
- Perform mechanical testing such as tensile, compression, and machining tests
- Operate laboratory equipment, including autoclave, CNC, and UTM machines
- Ensure all testing follows safety and quality standards
- Monitor and maintain equipment calibration and performance
- Record test data, maintain logs, and prepare reports
- Follow strict procedures to ensure accuracy and repeatability
- Support laboratory documentation and reporting activities
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in laboratory or mechanical testing
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience using mechanical testing equipment and machinery
- Ability to read and follow technical procedures and specifications
- Basic knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Experience in testing methods such as tensile, compression, or CAI
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CNC machines, autoclave, or machining tools
- Familiarity with SAP or LIMS systems
Working Conditions
- Based in the UAE
- Laboratory environment
- Shift work required (day and night rotation)
- May involve handling equipment and materials
