Position Overview

The Media Director is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and executing the organization's comprehensive media strategy across all online and offline platforms. This role ensures that all media investments deliver maximum ROI, elevate brand presence, and support the company's strategic objectives. The Media Director oversees media planning, buying, performance optimization, vendor relationships, and the management of a high-performing media team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Media Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and lead a cohesive media strategy across digital, social, TV, radio, print, OOH, and emerging channels.
  • Translate business objectives into impactful multi-channel media plans that drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market intelligence to identify strategic opportunities.

2. Offline Media Management

  • Drive planning and execution across traditional media including TV, radio, print, and outdoor advertising.
  • Ensure traditional channels integrate effectively with digital touchpoints for cohesive 360 campaigns.

3. Budget & Performance Management

  • Develop annual media budgets, ensuring effective allocation based on brand priorities and performance targets.
  • Monitor campaign performance and deliver clear, data-driven reports to senior leadership.
  • Ensure full accountability on media spend, efficiency, and value-added opportunities.

4. Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop an internal media team, fostering a culture of creativity, performance, and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including Marketing, Creative, PR, and Content.
  • Provide clear direction and feedback to agencies and partners.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media, Communications, Business, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in media planning and buying, with strong exposure to both digital and traditional media.
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-channel campaigns for major brands.
  • Strong understanding of media analytics, audience segmentation, digital performance metrics, and attribution models.
  • Expertise in media tools and platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, DSPs, media monitoring systems, and measurement tools.
