About Danat Al Emarat Hospital - Women & Children
Danat Al Emarat is a world-class specialty women's and children's hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women's Health. The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.
About The Role
We are seeking a
Medical Coder to join our Revenue Cycle Management team at Danat Al Emarat Hospital- Women & Children in Abu Dhabi.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Medical Coder / Coding Supervisor, the Medical Coder will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and validating medical records for accurate coding
- Assigning ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and DRG codes
- Ensuring compliance with DOH/DHA guidelines
- Handling claims submission and revenue cycle tasks
- Conducting periodic audits to ensure documentation accuracy
- Querying physicians for clarification when needed
Qualifications
- Must have Abu Dhabi hospital experience in both inpatient and outpatient medical coding
- Minimum 2 years Abu Dhabi OP and/or IP claims coding experience
- Coding certification (AAPC or AHIMA)
- Strong knowledge of DOH/DHA regulations
