Job Purpose
Planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting project progress during the construction supervision phase, ensuring that works are executed in accordance with the approved program, contract requirements, and project milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and update detailed project schedules (baseline, revised, and recovery programs).
- Review contractors construction programs, methodologies, and work sequences.
- Develop look-ahead schedules, manpower histograms, and resource-loaded programs.
- Monitor actual progress against the approved baseline schedule.
- Identify delays, critical activities, and potential risks affecting project timelines.
- Analyze schedule impacts and propose mitigation and recovery actions.
- Evaluate extension of time (EOT) claims from a planning perspective.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for the client and management.
- Develop dashboards, progress curves (S-curves), and key planning indicators.
- Report schedule deviations and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with site supervision teams to collect accurate progress data.
- Liaise with contractors planning engineers and project controls teams.
- Support project meetings by providing planning and progress analysis inputs.
- Assist in assessing delay claims and time-related contractual issues.
- Maintain planning records and contemporaneous documentation for claims support.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements (e.g., FIDIC) related to planning and reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in any MEP Major
- Minimum 7 years of experience in planning and scheduling
- Proven experience in construction supervision or consultancy projects
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts is preferred
- Proficiency in planning software (Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent reporting and presentation skills
- Good understanding of construction methods and sequences
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
