One of our clients in Ireland in the Construction Industry is currently looking for a MEP Project Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Coordinate all mechanical and electrical works in line with project schedules and milestones.
- Review M&E drawings, specifications, and technical submittals for compliance and buildability.
- Monitor progress of M&E subcontractors and ensure alignment with the main construction programme.
- Identify and resolve clashes between M&E systems and structural/architectural elements (including BIM coordination where applicable).
Technical Oversight
- Ensure installations comply with relevant regulations, standards, and project specifications.
- Manage technical queries (RFIs) related to M&E services.
- Review and approve method statements and risk assessments.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and validation of building services systems.
Commercial & Contractual
- Assist in reviewing M&E subcontract packages and scopes of work.
- Monitor variations, change orders, and cost implications related to M&E works.
- Support commercial teams in valuing completed works and assessing subcontractor claims.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure quality control procedures are implemented and maintained.
- Conduct inspections and snagging of M&E installations.
- Support the compilation of O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and handover documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company policies.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with clients, consultants, design teams, and statutory authorities as required.
- Attend project meetings and provide regular updates on M&E progress and risks.
- Coordinate with site management to ensure efficient sequencing of works.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years experience in M&E coordination within a main contractor environment.
- Strong knowledge of building services systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, power distribution, lighting, ELV systems).
- Experience with project management and coordination tools (e.g., BIM platforms such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, etc.).
- Good understanding of relevant building codes, standards, and health & safety regulations.
