Job Summary

The MEP Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing, executing, completing, and handing over multiple MEP projects related to energy efficiency, energy performance contracts, and retrofit works. Projects include large hotels, high-rise towers, and commercial facilities.

The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within approved budgets, and in compliance with quality, safety, and contractual requirements, utilizing internal teams as well as subcontractors and sub-consultants. The position involves delivering high-quality, turnkey energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, both in-office and on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and deliver MEP projects within approved timelines, budgets, and quality standards while maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Ensure full compliance with contract conditions, technical specifications, approved drawings, BOQs, and authority regulations.
  • Review and ensure all technical submittals comply with project specifications and statutory requirements.
  • Monitor site activities and report project progress, variations, and necessary modifications to clients, consultants, and main contractors.
  • Supervise and coordinate MEP subcontractors, including material approvals and installation works.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities across different project phases to ensure smooth execution.
  • Manage and track project documentation including bid summaries, RFQs, LPOs, PDCs, L/Cs, and related commercial documents.
  • Supervise construction teams and ensure timely identification and correction of deficiencies.
  • Monitor progress, resources, and costs to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support and enforce HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness programs, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in line with company and IMS policies.

Experience & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional certification such as LEED Certification is required or strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of laws and regulations governing large construction projects.
  • In-depth understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of building codes and standards.
  • Solid understanding of building systems, energy technologies, green buildings, and high-performance design.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency, performance contracting, commissioning, BIM, or green building practices is a strong advantage.
  • Strong technical knowledge of MEP construction, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems.
  • ERP system knowledge is required; SAP functional experience is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of marketing strategy and market analysis is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 8 years total work experience.
  • At least 5 years in a supervisory or project management role.
  • GCC experience of 2 years or more is an advantage.
