Responsible for testing and validating merchant acquiring systems, payment gateways, and transaction processing platforms to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance with banking and card scheme standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute test cases for POS, online payments, settlements, refunds, and chargebacks.
- Validate transaction flows across acquiring host, payment networks, and merchant systems.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and UAT support testing.
- Verify compliance with payment standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, scheme rules).
- Identify, log, and track defects; coordinate with developers and business teams for resolution.
- Support certification testing with card schemes and third-party vendors.
- Analyze logs, transaction messages, and reconciliation reports for discrepancies.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of merchant acquiring lifecycle and payment processing.
- Understanding of ISO8583 or similar financial message formats.
- Experience with testing tools, SQL queries, and log analysis.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a banking/payments environment.
