Job Description

We are seeking a senior, commercially minded Merchant Acquisition Manager to lead the expansion of our merchant ecosystem across the UAE - focusing on high-value brands in retail, ecommerce, and hospitality.

This is a strategic, front-facing role for someone with established industry relationships, deep market knowledge, and a proven ability to win and nurture commercial partnerships. You will influencemimojo'smerchant strategy, build a highquality partner portfolio, and play a pivotal role in shaping how leading brands engage with our customer base.

You'll operate as a trusted advisor to merchants - using insights, data, and market intelligence to help them grow their sales, strengthen customer loyalty, andmaximisereturns from performance-driven marketing.

About Things, You'll Be Working On:

Merchant Acquisition & Portfolio Growth

  • Identify, target, and secure high-potential retail, ecommerce, and hospitality merchants across the UAE.
  • Build and manage a portfolio of premium brands aligned tomimojo'sprogrammeobjectives and customer demographics.
  • Leverage personal industry networks to accelerate deal flow and reduce sales cycles.
  • Position mimojo as a growth channel, not a discount channel - emphasizingincremental revenue and measurable ROI.

Commercial Strategy & Execution

  • Own the entire commercial lifecycle: prospecting, presenting, negotiating, contracting, and onboarding.
  • Structure commercially sound, merchant-funded offers aligned to partner andprogrammegoals.
  • Deliver against monthly and quarterly acquisition and revenue targets.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting via CRM systems.

Relationship Management & Value Delivery

  • Act as the senior commercial point of contact for your merchant partners.
  • Drive renewals, category expansion, upsell opportunities, and cross-programparticipation.
  • Provide clear performance narratives and insights to ensure merchants understand campaign ROI.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product, operations, marketing, and finance teams to ensure seamless onboarding and execution.
  • Supportprogrammedlaunches with fully activated, compliant, andoptimizedmerchant participation.
  • Feed market insights into product and commercial strategy to ensure mimojo stays ahead of industry needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, Commerce, or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of experience.

Key competencies:

Mandatory

  • 3-5 years experience in merchant partnerships, business development, account management, or commercial roles.
  • Demonstrated success in acquiring or managing merchants within retail, ecommerce, or hospitality.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of closing high-value commercial agreements.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and senior stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with targets, pipelines, and CRM-led sales processes.
  • Strong presentation capabilities - able to articulate commercial value clearly and persuasively.

Highly Advantageous

  • Established network of retail and e-commerce merchants in the UAE.
  • Experience in loyalty, fintech, payments, card-linked offers, or rewards platforms.
  • Familiarity with merchant-funded marketing models, performance-based partnerships and/or media sales.
  • Understanding of UAE consumer, tourist, and cross-border spend dynamics.
  • Fluency in English required; Arabic is a plus.
