We are looking for an experienced Methods Engineer to join a major marine construction project in Dubai.
This role is critical in turning complex marine designs into safe, efficient, and buildable solutions — from constructability reviews and method statements through to temporary works, shop drawings, precast yard setup, and site logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the design coordination process across all disciplines (Structural, MEP, specialist systems) to provide Methods insight and ensure constructability.
- Propose alternatives and/or adjustments to the design that would facilitate construction.
- Identify design risks early and drive resolution through technical workshops and alternative solutions.
- Coordinate with technical, execution, and planning teams to define the construction methodology, logistics, equipment, and sequence of works.
- Define and implement the Temporary Works Management Plan in line with Company Guidelines.
- Ensure implementation of the Project Management Plans (HSE Plan, DMP, CMP).
- Set clear priorities, deliverables, and deadlines for the methods team.
- Ensure compliance with company governance, quality systems, and reporting standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Civil / Structural Engineering
- Minimum 5+ years in large-scale marine construction (Design & Build experience preferred)
- Strong hands-on experience in Method Statements, Shop Drawings, and Temporary Works management
- Practical site experience with marine equipment, piling, lifting operations, logistics, and precast yards
- Previous Middle East experience is highly advantageous
- Pure dredging-focused candidates will not be considered
