Role Overview:
We're looking for an experienced Mid-Level Back-End Developer to join our tech team at Dar.
In this role, you'll contribute to solving key challenges in data integration, processing, and automation. You'll work with cross-functional teams to help leverage data effectively, supporting business needs and driving value.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to building efficient data storage strategies, ensuring data availability and helping prevent data loss.
- Support architectural design and decision-making processes.
- Improve existing features and develop new functionalities for our products.
- Assist in managing CI processes and identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with various teams to support specific use cases and business requirements.
- Help troubleshoot performance and scalability issues, working with senior developers to break down complex requirements into manageable tasks.
- Participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions to support knowledge sharing.
- Engage in Agile development cycles and SCRUM meetings, providing feedback and updates on progress.
- Write secure, testable, and scalable code using current best practices and technologies.
- Contribute to reusable code libraries and ensure code meets the needs of multiple clients or projects.
- Support data analysis and code troubleshooting, helping identify areas for improvement.
- Perform testing to ensure backend applications run efficiently.
- Stay current with industry best practices and work toward continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
- From 3 to 6 years of experience
- Programming languages: Experience in Python, JavaScript, or .NET languages (C#, VB.Net); JAVA knowledge is a plus.
- Databases: Familiarity with SQL, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, NoSQL (such as MongoDB), and Graph databases (such as GraphDB).
- Reporting Tools: Basic knowledge of Power BI and Grafana.
- APIs: Understanding of REST and SOAP APIs.
- Big Data and Messaging Platforms: Knowledge of Big Data platforms or message queuing platforms is a plus.
- Version Control and Project Tools: Familiarity with GitHub and Jira.
- Additional Experience: Basic DevOps experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, frameworks, and development methodologies.
- Ability to solve technical issues and contribute to designing effective, scalable solutions.
- Experience in collaborating with senior developers, conducting code reviews, and supporting project goals.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, stay organized with project tasks, and meet deadlines.
