Docspert Health is looking for a skilled and driven Mid-Level Full-Stack Django Developer to join our growing health-tech team. This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience building production-ready applications, enjoys owning features end-to-end, and is excited about working with APIs and AI-powered solutions.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and frontend components using Django, Python, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Build, consume, and maintain RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework and integrate with third-party services.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimise applications for performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Implement and maintain authentication, authorisation, and data protection mechanisms.
- Work with databases to design schemas, write efficient queries, and ensure data integrity.
- Contribute to AI-driven features, including integrating AI/ML APIs or services into existing platforms
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, following best practices.
- Participate actively in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
- Stay up to date with evolving technologies in full-stack development, APIs, and AI.
Skills Required
- 2+ years of professional experience with Python and Django.
- Strong experience with Django REST Framework and API design.
- Solid understanding of frontend technologies: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
- Experience with React and/or Next.js in production or advanced personal projects.
- Hands-on experience integrating APIs, including third-party and internal services.
- Exposure to AI technologies (e.g., OpenAI APIs, ML services, data pipelines, or AI-powered features).
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Good communication skills and a proactive mindset.
