Role overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Management Information Systems (MIS) Accountant to join our Global Finance team.

The MIS Accountant plays a crucial role in the financial performance and financial technology landscape, specializing in the analysis and optimization of digital payments. The role is responsible for monitoring transaction data, identifying trends, and providing insights to improve the efficiency of digital payment products and provide meaningful inputs that drive management decision making through budgeting, performance measuring (variance analysis) and forecasting. The role is also responsible for ensuring that financial performance is monitored against the agreed contractual terms. By collaborating with cross-functional teams (typically operations and sales), the jobholder is responsible for set up a process to implement management information systems. The role ensures efficient digital transactions driving business profitability.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze transaction data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits for contract compliance.
  • Develop and implement payment process optimization strategies.
  • Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for senior management.
  • Assist in maintaining documentation related to payment systems and policies.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular validation checks.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.

Qualifications & experience

  • Degree qualified in Finance, Business, Information Technology
  • Chartered Accountant
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital payments industry, financial services in data analysis, building and monitoring management information systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, SQL, Tableau, machine learning and AI tools).
  • Ability to prepare detailed financial performance reports and dashboards for management.
  • Knowledge of payment processing systems and digital payment methods.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards related to digital payments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory changes.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
