Context

Under the 20262029 Strategic Plan, UNFPA emphasizes evidencebased programming and sustainable financing to accelerate progress toward the ICPD agenda and the SDGs. This assignment supports the Regional Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PM&E) Unit to ensure that regional and countrylevel interventions are guided by highquality data, robust monitoring frameworks, and strong resultsbased reporting. The UN Volunteer will collaborate with Country Offices to improve reporting alignment and strengthen monitoring systems across the Arab States region.

Description of Duties

  • Support implementation of ResultsBased Management across the region.
  • Assist in quality assurance of quarterly and annual reports for regional and country offices.
  • Conduct data analysis, including data quality checks and tracking of highlevel indicators.
  • Support development of M&E frameworks and monitoring plans across regional and country teams.
  • Contribute inputs to Country Offices midterm reviews and evaluation terms of reference.
  • Utilize AI tools for data synthesis and predictive analysis to enhance reporting efficiency.

Profile Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, international development, or related social sciences.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in development or humanitarian contexts.
  • Experience in development project management and coordination.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a challenging, multicultural environment.
  • Strong computer literacy, including MS Office; familiarity with database management.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Experience using generative AI for data analysis and reporting workflows.
  • Skills in AIdriven data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau, Excel).
  • Fluency in Arabic, English, and French.
