Role: Deepwater Managed Pressure Drilling Senior Drilling Engineer Well Engineering

Responsibilities
Design of deepwater exploratory, appraisal, development, workover and abandonment wells utilizing MPD.
Prepare drilling and completion programs and develop procedures for all MPD related activities in Deepwater operations.
Provide office based support for operational execution of MPD deepwater activities
MPD planning, equipment selection, evaluation of new advanced technology for future wells.
Identify and recommend new technologies to enhance HSE and optimize well time & cost.
Responsibilities
Develop good understanding of Well Delivery Standards and other policy documents.
Good understanding of relevant industry standards like API, ISO, Norsok etc.
Familiarize himself with Indian Regulatory Requirements.
Introduce global deepwater MPD best practices in the area of well design and operation.
Carry out HAZID/HAZOP and develop risk analysis to mitigate risks.
Study offset wells details.
Develop BOD (Basing of Design) document.
Organize and prepare for workshops like peer reviews, technical committee reviews, DWOP and after-action review (AAR).
Understand interface requirements of various other teams and coordinate for closure.
Prepare drilling program meeting Well Delivery Standards.
Provide MPD engineering and operations support during well execution.
Understand well barriers and ensure well integrity at every stage of well design and operations. Accountable for engineering assurance and technical integrity.
Captured lesson learnt, co-ordinate on finalization of RCAs.
Visit shore base as and when required for critical jobs like pre-hire inspection, liner hanger assembly or any other critical assembly preparation or for witnessing/inspecting equipment disassembly.
Competency / Skill Requirement
20+ years of global drilling experience. Should also have worked as a Senior Engineer /Engineering Manager/Rig Superintendent for minimum 10 years in deepwater and should have worked on multiple new technologies.
Minimum 5 years of Deepwater GOM Experience
Deepwater MPD well design and operations experience (GOM preferred).
Clear understanding of well barriers at every stage of well design and operations.
Skilled in working on trajectories, hydraulics, T&D, Kick tolerance, Swab & Surge analysis.
Well-versed with Landmark drilling software (Compass & Well Plan).
Good understanding of Subsea wellhead system and running tools, Tubular Connections, Liner Hanger Systems, Motors & Rotary Steerable System, Survey Tools and their application, Drill bits and cutter designs etc.
Identify and recommend new technologies for enhancing HSE and efficiencies.
Trainings & Certification
Preferable to be trained in Well Control and should have valid IWCF certification (Subsea Level 4).
Preferable to have valid OPITO approved Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET) certificate.
