Project Description:
Our customer is a Leading bank in UAE who is looking for a Murex Consultant with accounting exposure for India/UAE location.
Responsibilities:
- Engage users to gather, capture, and document on accounting treatment for various financial products.
- Analyse requirements and assess feasibility of implementation in Murex.
- Design and configure accounting rules based on the requirements, including configuration of accounts, filters and formulas.
- Perform testing, capture output, and document results.
- Reconcile expected results and actual results.
- Identify discrepancies and the possible causes.
- Participate in various changes and projects for the stream
Mandatory Skills Description:
- 5-6 years of relevant Murex accounting experience.
- Understand the concept of journal posting and balances for accounting.
- Knowledge of trade life cycle & events and how they are handled in Murex for FX, Money Market, Fixed Income, Equities, FXD, IRD products
- Finance functional knowledge: at least one asset class knowledge is mandatory. Should encompass of the following asset classes: Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives, Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income, FX Cash, FX Derivatives, Commodities, Structured Derivatives.
- Experience in setting up accounting rules, accounts, filters and formulas.
- Familiar with accounting configuration setup and EOD.
- Experience in accounting configuration in Murex
- Murex configuration experience and configured accounting rule in Murex.
Nice-to-Have Skills Description:
- Datamart experience is nice to have
