About the Role:
Administration, managing and development of e& IT Data and Voice Network to achieve the highest level of availability and performance to all the corporate services provided to internal e& staff as well as the services offered to e& Subscribers.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support the following components: 1. Cisco Call Manager. 2. Cisco IPCC Express. 3. Cisco Access Server. 4. DTG Video Gateway. 5. Access Points 6. Routers 7. Switches.
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Internal LAN of the company, solving end user network related problems.
- Administer all network equipment, hardware (routers, switches, wireless access points, voice servers, gateways and IP phones) and software upgrades.
- Perform network design and capacity planning.
- Interact and negotiate with different vendors during implementations of new projects and support for the existing and finished projects.
- Develop, implement and maintain network and IP Telephony policies and procedures.
- Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
- Establish operational level agreements with end users.
- Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Perform system backups and recovery.
- Check daily Syslog Report to monitor logs generated by all network devices using Cisco Works.
- Handle Trouble Tickets generated by IT Service Desk team and assigned to Network team.
- Monitor network Devices and connectivity links using applications like MRTG and Cisco Works.
- Send weekly graphs report which gives statistics for the traffic utilization on e& links using MRTG software.
- Draw Visio Diagram for all e& infrastructure network.
- Collect Serial numbers, Location and Part number for each network device (Hardware Inventory).
- Manage of WAN optimization.
- Reserve IP addresses to PCs using DHCP console (reserve an IP address to a specific PC using its MAC address and Hostname).
- Handle authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA) using Cisco ACS.
- Handle the acceptance of new Point of Sales (PoS) Projects.
- Manage WAN optimization.
- Provide 24/7 on call support for e& employees.
- Download and test new network software.
- Do planned network outages at night.
- Test new network products and solutions.
Qualifications:
- University Degree in BSC in Communication Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Very Good knowledge of Cisco different devices, including Routers, Switches and Voice equipment.
- Fast learner and reader with the ability to understand diverse technologies.
- Very Good Computer skills.
- Very Good in Arabic and English (Reading, Writing and Oral).
Desirable Qualifications:
- At least 1 year experience working in IP networks in large corporate environment with at least 1-year hands on experience with Cisco Routers and Backbone and Edge Switches.
- Very Good knowledge of switching and IP routing protocols.
- Very familiar with the operations of IP networks in Telecom environment.
