Network and System Admin

Organization Overview:

Century Financial is one of the UAEs pioneering financial services company specializing in investments and trading in financial instruments like currencies, indices, shares, commodities, treasuries, and ETFs, along with exchange-traded derivatives.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Network and System Administrator with over 5 years of experience in managing enterprise IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Cisco and Fortinet technologies, with a solid background in network security, system administration, and performance monitoring. Experience with implementing and optimizing monitoring tools is essential.

Job Description:

• Network Administration Cisco & Fortinet Focus

Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer).

Implement and maintain secure and scalable VLANs, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), and SD-WAN solutions.

Apply firewall rules, NAT policies, and security profiles to ensure network segmentation and threat mitigation.

Monitor bandwidth utilization, network latency, and link performance using SNMP and flow-based tools.

Participate in periodic network audits and upgrade cycles.

• System Administration:

Maintain Windows/Linux servers (On-Prem and Cloud), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file systems.

Apply security patches, OS updates, and system performance tuning regularly.

Implement user access controls, group policies, and multi-factor authentication.

Ensure compliance with backup strategies and DR solutions.

Ensure AV and Digital systems are being maintained timely and up to date.

• Monitoring & Performance Management

Configure and optimize network and infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds etc).

Generate real-time dashboards and alerts for CPU, memory, disk usage, interface errors, and throughput.

Analyze logs and metrics to proactively prevent system failures and service disruptions.

Create performance reports for IT leadership and assist with capacity planning.

• Security & Compliance

Apply security hardening across network and system layers based on best practices (CIS, NIST, NESA).

Coordinate with security teams on threat detection, firewall tuning, and endpoint protection.

Support internal/external audits by providing infrastructure documentation, configurations, and incident reports.

• Support & Collaboration

Serve as an escalation point for L2/L3 network/system incidents.

Collaborate with DevOps, cybersecurity, and helpdesk teams for integrated IT service delivery.

Contribute to documentation of runbooks, SOPs, network diagrams, and system inventories.

Requirement:

• Minimum 5 years in network and system administration roles.
• Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven hands-on experience with:
• Cisco IOS/NX-OS devices (CCNA/CCNP level configurations)
• Fortinet security appliances (FortiOS, FortiGate, FortiManager)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Professional (CCNP)
• Fortinet NSE 4 or higher (Preferred)
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator / Azure Associate (Preferred)
• ITIL Foundation is a plus.
• UAE Driving license is must
