As a Network Engineer specializing in F5 L2 (Application Delivery) at Müller's Solutions, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our application delivery infrastructure using F5 technologies. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining F5 load balancers and associated services to ensure high availability, performance, and security of applications across the network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage F5 load balancers (LTM, ASM, APM) to facilitate efficient application delivery and traffic management
- Monitor application performance and analyze traffic patterns to optimize load balancing strategies and enhance user experience
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application delivery, ensuring minimal impact on service availability
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to configure and support application delivery services and integrate them with existing infrastructure
- Implement security measures, such as Web Application Firewall (WAF) features, to protect applications from cyber threats
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for F5 configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in application delivery and F5 technologies to continuously improve solutions
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on application delivery and F5 technologies
- Strong knowledge of F5 products, including LTM, APM, and ASM configuration and management
- Experience with networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, and SSL)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex application delivery issues effectively and efficiently
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Tcl, Python) for automation and customization of F5 configurations is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve performance issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as F5 Certified Administrator (F5-CA) or similar credentials
- Experience with application monitoring tools and network performance analysis tools
- Familiarity with cloud-based application delivery solutions
- Knowledge of security best practices related to application delivery
- Experience working in an Agile or DevOps environment is a plus
