Network Operations Center - Shift Supervisor will lead the NOC shift team to ensure effective monitoring, timely incident response, and proper escalation across all Syntys data centres. Accountable for NOC performance and team management during your shift.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Supervise NOC Engineers during shift - assign tasks, ensure coverage, monitor performance
- Act as first escalation point for NOC team - make decisions on incident severity and actions
- Ensure P1/P2 incidents are escalated immediately to Site Leads and DC Operations Lead
- Review incident logs for accuracy and completeness - provide feedback to team
- Conduct shift handover briefings - communicate all open items to incoming shift
- Coordinate with Site Engineers for incident verification and response actions
- Approve visitor access and customer requests during off-hours
- Lead NOC response during emergencies - activate emergency procedures as required
- Produce shift summary report at end of each shift
- Coach and develop NOC Engineers - identify training needs and provide guidance
- Ensure compliance with all NOC procedures and standards
- Manage shift roster and coverage - address gaps as needed
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or Bachelor's in IT, Engineering, or related field
- 3-5 years experience in NOC or data center operations
- 2+ years in supervisory or team lead role
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure - power, cooling, BMS, EPMS
- Experience with monitoring tools and ITSM platforms
- Leadership skills - able to manage team and make decisions under pressure
- ITIL Foundation preferred
