Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Network Security Engineer based in Cairo, Egypt. The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network systems to protect organizational assets. Daily responsibilities include managing network infrastructure, monitoring for and mitigating security threats, troubleshooting network issues, configuring firewalls, and ensuring compliance with security standards. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and staying updated on evolving cybersecurity trends and technologies.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Network Administration and Network Engineering
- Expertise in Network Security and Cybersecurity principles
- Strong skills in Information Security, including risk assessments and compliance
- Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and manage network performance issues
- Familiarity with firewalls, routers, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Certifications such as CCNP Security, CISSP, CEH, or equivalent are preferred
- Proficiency in analyzing and mitigating security threats
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
