About the Role
We are seeking a technically strong L2 Network Security Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise environment in Abu Dhabi. This role is suited for professionals with solid operational experience who can independently handle day-to-day network and security activities while collaborating with senior engineers on escalations and continuous improvements.
You will play a key role in ensuring network stability, maintaining security controls, and supporting a hybrid infrastructure that demands reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 support for network and security infrastructure.
- Monitor systems, investigate alerts, and resolve incidents within defined SLAs.
- Perform configuration, troubleshooting, and operational support across multiple platforms.
- Support firewall, proxy, load balancing, and access control technologies.
- Escalate complex technical issues to L3 teams with detailed diagnostics.
- Assist in implementing network changes, upgrades, and security policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, processes, and incidents.
- Work closely with cloud, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure service continuity.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with F5 technologies including ASM, GTM, and LTM.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Azure networking with the ability to log into the Azure portal and independently manage network components.
- Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches.
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls, including policy management and operational support.
- Experience supporting Zscaler cloud proxy solutions.
- Understanding of API security concepts and operational practices.
- Experience configuring and supporting Cisco ISE for network access control.
Required Experience
- 47 years of hands-on experience in network and security operations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a structured approach to problem solving.
- Experience working in enterprise or mission-critical environments.
- Solid foundation in routing, switching, security, and network segmentation.
- Ability to work effectively in an onsite, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, F5, or Microsoft Azure are advantageous.
- Exposure to hybrid cloud environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with modern security frameworks or zero-trust principles is beneficial.
