About The Position
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Network Technician to join the IT Operations Engineering & Support team.
Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Install and configure network hardware such as routers, switches, and access points
- Maintain and repair network infrastructure including cabling and peripheral devices
- Monitor network performance and conduct regular diagnostics to identify bottlenecks or failures
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Implement network security protocols and assist in firewall configurations
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and incidents
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to procure and deploy network solutions
- Provide technical support and training to staff on network usage and best practices
- Schedule and perform upgrades and preventive maintenance with minimal disruption to operations
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in network support or IT infrastructure
- Proficiency in LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds), ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow), Knowledge of network security practices and compliance standards
- Experience with wireless systems and controllers (e.g., WLC)
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent are a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing as much as 9 kg
