Purpose of Role: Execute field installations,activation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for internet and connectivity services.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Networking / Telecommunications / Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience :Minimum 2 years in ISP /Networks / Telecom field operations.
Field Work: Able to work outdoors, on customer sites, and in shift/on-call model if required
Core Responsibilities: Installation & commissioning of internet services, customer site readiness, cabling,device configuration, testing, documentation, and handover.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose faults, isolate root cause,replace/repair components, and restore service within SLA.
Customer Interaction: Professional communication,explain work steps, and close tickets with customer confirmation.
Networking Knowledge: LAN/WAN, IP addressing,subnetting, DHCP, DNS, basic NAT, VLAN concepts.Routing & Switching: Basic ,configuration/verification and understanding of common issues (loops, port errors, STP basics).
Physical Layer / Cabling: UTP/Fiber basics, patching,termination, testing tools, labeling standards.
Wireless / Microwave :Experience with point-to-point links, alignment basics, signal quality checks
Fiber (Preferred): Basics of splicing/termination and OTDR/power meter usage (if applicable).
Tools & Documentation: Ability to use ticketing systems, write service reports, record serials, and update network diagrams if required.
Certifications (Preferred):Cisco CCNA (or equivalent), Microsoft, or any recognized networking
certifications.
